We expected excitement in Trafalgar Square yesterday. We expected spectacular demonstrations from some of the world’s leading Paralympic athletes. We expected London’s International Paralympic Day celebrations to set the tone for a hugely popular and inspirational Games next year.

What we did not necessarily expect was to spend our lunch hour watching Britain’s Prime Minister David Cameron take on the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, in a highly competitive match of Wheelchair Tennis.

Whitewater champs just the start of London’s post-Games ride
